This January’s Glossybox was okay. Five products, but only one that I got really excited for. I thought they would have switched it up a little bit since they’ve been sending so many creams, but it seemed a little bit like more of the same. The products are good, but I think I would have preferred a body scrub or another sheet mask over the hand cream.
Glossybox, once again, came through in my time of need. My skin has been freaking out. I’ve had breakouts everywhere, and I think it’s because all of the hydration has been sucked out by the dry air and fickle weather. This month, Glossybox was all about hydrating.
I know I know, two Glossybox review posts in a row, but after last month, where I was sort of underwhelmed, I could not wait to get this month’s box. I DID see a little spoiler about the box on Glossybox’s website, and couldn’t have been more excited to see this month’s box was a French theme.
Getting my Glossybox is like receiving a birthday gift every month. I get so excited, and I liked my first one so much that I actually cancelled my Boxycharm subscription because I just don’t think the two compare. I love the variety of the Glossybox and that it is more tailored to the individual, so if you like that you will love this.
It seriously feels like Christmas when I see these pretty little boxes pop up on my doorstep. Now, before you read, I have a disclaimer: this was my first order from Glossybox. If you read my Boxycharm review, you already know this, but this is especially important to mention because the contents of my box were a little different than others I have seen online. I don’t know if it’s because I ordered late and they had to substitute, or if it’s because it was my first order from the company, but you will see what I mean below.
I’m a little late to the party, but the time has finally come: I’ve caved and ordered subscription boxes. I’ve always loved unboxing videos on YouTube, but some people stopped doing the Boxycharm vs. Glossybox videos and I miss them. I’ve looked for blogs that review them, but I’ve never found myself satisfied, so I thought, why not look at them and decide which I like for myself? While I thought I wanted to do one post for both boxes, I thought I would split them up to make them easier to read. Plus, to be completely honest, I just can’t wait to share all of the fun products!
