Glossybox January 2016

This January’s Glossybox was okay. Five products, but only one that I got really excited for. I thought they would have switched it up a little bit since they’ve been sending so many creams, but it seemed a little bit like more of the same. The products are good, but I think I would have preferred a body scrub or another sheet mask over the hand cream.

Royal Apothic Moisturizing Body Cream in Venetian Grove in Cutting Garden (scents in boxes vary) – 1.25oz – valued around $4.70 – This I could’ve done without. While the foot cream in the box was great, I think this cream is too heavily scented. Maybe a different scent would have been better for me, but I just didn’t love this cream.

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment – 2oz – valued around $2 – This I liked. Unfortunately, I have extremely thick hair, so this will probably only last me two more washes. However, the first wash? Pretty great! It made my scalp feel clean, and the lemon scent was refreshing and natural instead of smelling like a Lemon Drop.

IMG_9350Emite Makeup Diamond Heart Base Primer – Full size – $29 – I LOVE this primer. It has a sheer tint, but once I apply it you can’t even see the color. It is luminizing and makes my skin look radiant and healthy. This might be one of the first products I repurchase from Glossybox.

417 Foot Nourishing Cream – 1.7oz, value $9 – This lotion is extremely creamy. For my J-Term class this year I took Water Aerobics, and while the class was a blast, it did leave my skin pretty dry from the chlorine. A good foot cream was exactly what I needed!

MeMeMe Lip Glide in Playful Peach – Full size – value $12.50 – Unfortunately, this color isn’t for me. The lip pencil itself is creamy and extremely pigmented, but my skin tone just doesn’t match up.

Total value: ~$57

While the January Glossybox left me slightly disappointed, I have high hopes for the February box. I saw a photo on Glossybox’s website of the February box’s lid design, and I have to say I am so excited to see what is inside!

Did you get the January 2016 Glossybox? What did you think about it?
